What happened to the Barcelona squad of 2015?

Marc André Ter Stegen. The German is the only survivor from that generation still at Barcelona. He was crucial to the 2015 title with an incredible performance in the final. Today, he is the captain of Barcelona and continues to make history with the club.

Javier Mascherano. The Argentine defender ended his career in 2020 with Estudiantes La Plata in Argentina, to begin his new stage as a coach.

Dani Alves. The Brazilian full-back is going through very difficult times, as he is currently in jail for a case of sexual assault. His last team was PUMAS de la UNAM and it seems that it will be the end of his career.

Jordi Alba. The Spanish defender moved to the United States along with his friends Messi and Busquets. He has just started his new stage in the MLS and apparently will live the last stage of his career with Inter Miami.

Sergio Busquets. The best pivot in football history stepped aside from Barcelona to enjoy Miami in the MLS with his friends Messi and Jordi Alba. He played the last World Cup and was the first captain of Barcelona.

Andrés Iniesta. The one who gave glory to Spain in 2010 has just changed teams; from Japan, he will travel to the United Arab Emirates to play with Emirates Club. We all thought he was close to retirement, but the little magician will have at least another year of career.

Ivan Rakitic. Culés fans miss him a lot. The 35-year-old midfielder is still in elite football, he has just won the Europa League with Sevilla.

Neymar. We all got sad when we found out that Neymar was going to play in the Arab football. Possibly he is the most talented player of this generation of players after Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi. Now he will take his talent to Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia. The only good thing is that we will see him face Cristiano Ronaldo as in the old times.

Luis Suárez. The Uruguayan forward is having an incredible season with Gremio in Brazil. Despite that, it is said that his reunion with Messi, Alba, and Busquets at Inter Miami is very likely. Although there is also the possibility of his retirement due to knee problems.

Lionel Messi. Needless to say, everyone has turned to the city of Miami with Lio’s arrival in the MLS. Beckham’s team has not only been the center of attention for Messi’s arrival. But they have had a winning streak since his arrival. Everyone expected Messi’s return to Barcelona but it didn’t happen. Now he is living the last stage of his career in the United States.

Luis Enrique. The Spanish strategist debuted his team this season, after his time with the Spanish national team, now he has an important challenge with PSG. It will be exciting to see what he can achieve with the Parisian team.
